5.5.2 Manage AD (Active Directory) Domain Connection
The AD Domain Connection stores information about where and how AgilityBMS’s connection to Active Directory is configured. AgilityBMS supports connections to multiple domains across the network. Each domain must contain the following information:
- Domain name - The name the Domain is known by
- Fully Qualified Name - The full name of the Domain
- Username - the Username of an Active User on the Domain
- Password - the above User's Password.The password is masked in the System Settings dialogue box.
Other options are related to issuing of licences in the User Suite.
Automatically create licences for New Users accessing the User Suite allow creation of Users with both Logins and Persons when a User accesses the User Suite for the first time.
To manage AD Domain Connection:
- Navigate to the System Tab
- Click the System Settings icon (warning message is displayed)

- Click OK (System Settings window is opened)

- Add Domain:
- Click the Add button (domain selector window appears)
- If available select new Domain
- Specify
- Domain Name
- Fully Qualified Name
- LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) Path
- Username
- Password
- Manage Domain:
- Select required Domain
- View/Edit Domain Details
- If required select Automatically create licences for new users accessing the User Suite
- If required select Allow users to reactivate disabled licences
- If required select Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
- If required select Do Not Chase Referrals
- Click Save if you wish to make further amendments to the System Settings or click Save and Close if you do not wish to make further amendments to the System Settings.
