2.7 Action Types

 

The Action Types enables the drop down list displayed in the MOC Module for types of Change Requests Actions to be defined, such as Training of Personnel, Source New Equipment, Replace Equipment. There is no limit to the number of Action Types that be entered; however, it should be noted that the drop down list needs to be usable therefore careful consideration to the number of Action Types needs to be taken into account.


In addition an Action Type can be disabled from being presented in the drop down list.


The MOC Module settings are only available to System Administrators with MOC Module Privileges.


To manage Action Types:


  1. Navigate to the Modules Tab
  2. Click the MOC Settings icon (warning message is displayed)

To manage Action Types:


  1. Select Add
  2. Enter a Title for the Action Type
  3. Ensure that Enabled is ticked
  4. If further Action Types are to be added then repeat steps 1-3
  5. To disable an existing Action Type the select the appropriate Action Type
  6. Ensure that Enabled is unticked
  7. An Action Type can be deleted from the list; however, this can be done if the Action Type has not been used
  8. To delete a Action Type select the appropriate Action Type and press Delete
  9. Select Save if you are making more MOC Module settings changes
  10. Select Save and Close if you finished making MOC Module settings changes
  11. Select Cancel to exit without saving.
