2.6 Change Durations

 

The Change Duration enables the drop down list displayed in the MOC Module for duration of a Change Request to be defined, such as Permanent or Temporary. There is no limit to the number of Change Durations that be entered; however, it should be noted that the drop down list needs to be usable therefore careful consideration to the number of Change Durations needs to be taken into account.


In addition a Change Duration can be disabled from being presented in the drop down list.


The MOC Module settings are only available to System Administrators with MOC Module Privileges.


To manage Change Duration:


  1. Navigate to the Modules Tab
  2. Click the MOC Settings icon (warning message is displayed)

To manage Change Durations:


Select Add

  1. Enter a Title for the Change Duration
  2. Ensure that Enabled is ticked
  3. If further Change Durations are to be added then repeat steps 1-3
  4. To disable an existing Change Duration the select the appropriate Change Duration
  5. Ensure that Enabled is unticked
  6. A Change Duration can be deleted from the list; however, this can be done if the Change Duration has not been used
  7. To delete a Change Duration select the appropriate Change Duration and press Delete
  8. Select Save if you are making more MOC Module settings changes
  9. Select Save and Close if you finished making MOC Module settings changes
  10. Select Cancel to exit without saving.
