5.5.8 Notification Services

 

This enables you to review the various Notification Services of AgilityBMS. The status is to give a visual indicator that the service is running as expected. The information contained in this screen will be used primarily by the Support Department of BusinessPort to enable them to aid clients on resolving issues, to this end it is advisable to take a screen image of the Notification Services and email it with the support ticket.


The Notification Services presented are as follows:

      • AutoCompleteTasks – If the options within the Admin Suite for Auto-Complete on the Due Date and/or Auto-Complete prior to Due Date if all Actioners have voted have been selected then the Service will Auto Complete the Task in question once one of these requirements have been met.
      • Digest Email – This is used to notify users of “Items of Interest”, where an “Item of Interest” is defined as either an Item in “All Users’ My Documents”, an item added to “My Documents” by the User or Item Owner notification when releasing an Item.
      • InitiateTasks – All tasks that have been set up prior to the time that this Service will run at will commence at this time. Any others set up after this time will be set to commence the following day at the same time specified.
      • MonitorMocTasks – Not used at present.
      • MonitorTasks – Runs AutoCompleteTasks, Sendreminders and InitiateTasks at the same time.
      • RebuildFTSCatalog – This Service will go through the readable text within Documents (also PDF’s if the Adobe iFilter is installed) and rebuild the Full Text Search Catalog.
      • SendReminders – If Reminders have been set up on a Task, within the requirements specified, the User will receive and Email Notification stating that he has an outstanding Task to complete.
      • SyncLogins – Syncs with Active Directory to check if there have been any changes to Users details and updates them if there have been changes.
      • SyncSubscriptionUserTasks – Ensures subscription tasks are kept up to date after any person, role or group changes.
      • UpdateFTSCatalog – Any changes to the Full Text Search Catalog since the last rebuild will be added with this Service running.


To view the Notification Service:

    1. Navigate to the System Tab
    2. Click the System Settings icon (warning message is displayed)
